Mr. Baspinar is one of the leading lawyers in real estate law in Turkey. He has ben involved in all types of real estate deals. He represented all sort of clients from financial investors to developers, from end customers to contractors. He also combined his experience in litigation with real estate and currently representing a Dutch investor against Turkey before ICSID. Gokmen is also known with structuring deals related to distressed assets and delivering the problematic works on a timely manner to his Clients. 

He is currently litigating one of the biggest bankruptcy cases in Turkey. Mr. Baspinar is in the short list of the Turkish Privatization Authority’s recommended lawyers. He has extensive experience in privatization deals. He was the leading counsel to the Privatization Authority at the privatization of Petkim Petrochemicals Co., 51% of which was privatized for USD 

Gokmen also advised a large number of M&A and NPL transactions and represented both local and international investors. He is also licensed to conduct trademark and patent applications. Gokmen is a graduate of Ankara University Law School, class of 1998. He had his LLM at the Marmara University Law School. He worked at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg between 1999 – 2001. He was a partner to one of the biggest law firms in Turkey. In 2010, he decided to set up his own firm with his partners.
