After having worked for the Turkish Savings Deposit Insurance Fund of Turkey, Mr. Ceylan moved to private practice. 

During his government practice time, he dealt with the recovery of bankrupt Turkish banks’ losses. 

He chased the assets outside Turkey and lead international cases related to such assets.

Mr. Ceylan advises foreign clients in Turkey for their acquisitions and corporate matters. He has a wide range of clientele. 

He advises retailers in food and garment sectors, banks, real estate developers, advertisement companies, hotels and factories in different industries. 

Ali is also working on international arbitration cases. 

He is advising various cases before ICSID and ICC. In this respect, he has close relations with litigation investors and brokers. Some key deals that Mr. Ceylan involved include advising the Turkish Privatization Authority on the sale of Petkim Petrochemical Co. (named as one of key lawyers), certain London reinsurers on Turkish Law matters, murabaha facility of EUR 50 million, securitization of EUR 125 million arising from export receivables, USD 120 million water pipeline project and a London Stock Market IPO of a Kazakh firm. 

Mr. Ceylan has articles published in different magazines related to Islamic Finance Law. 

He is one of the leading lawyers in sukuk (lease certificate) issuance. Ali is a graduate of Istanbul University Law School, class of 2001. 

He has an LLM degree in the International Business Law from the American University, Washington College of Law.
